Friday Food Finds – Farm and Oven Bakery Bites Review

Although I love veggies and usually have no problem consuming my weight in them daily, there are often times where I find myself falling short. If you too find yourself not eating between 2-3 cups of vegetables per day, you’re not alone. In fact, almost 90 percent of Americans don’t get the recommended amount of vegetables in their daily diet. Enter Farm and Oven Bakery Bites; vegetable-based cookies that are probiotic-dense and contain 40 percent of the recommended daily vegetable intake per serving. A delicious and sneaky way to help get in those extra veggies!

FARM AND OVEN, FARM AND OVEN BAKERY BITES REVIEW

About Farm and Oven:

Farm and Oven is a new and upcoming company out of Colorado founded by both Kay Allison and Mike Senackerib. The bakery bites were inspired by co-founder Kay’s daughter, who has autism and wasn’t interested in eating vegetables. While experimenting with various recipes, Kay found she could sneak in extra pumpkin in her pumpkin bread to give her daughter more of the vegetables she needed. Quite the concept and hence a product was born.

Farm and Oven Bakery Bites are available in 4 flavors; Beet Dark Chocolate, Carrot Cinnamon, Pumpkin Maple Pecan and Zucchini Lemon Poppy Seed. Each package contains three bite-sized cookies, 40% of a person’s daily veggies and 1 billion live probiotic cultures which helps support a healthy immune and digestive system. Farm and Oven are non-GMO, made from pure baking ingredients(wheat flour, sugar and eggs), contain no artificial colors, flavors or added preservatives.

Let’s get tasting!

Zucchini Lemon Poppy Seed

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin or Zucchini Bread? I’m a fan of both. Fortunately with this flavor, you don’t have to choose and get the best of both worlds. The bites themselves might seem small in size(roughly about the size of a silver dollar) but they sure make up for it in taste and flavor. The Zucchini Lemon Poppy Seed bites are soft, tender and bursting with lemony flavor in every bite. The poppy seeds help to balance out the flavor and adds a subtle yet nutty crunch component to the bites. The fact these do not require refrigeration makes them a perfect snack choice for tossing in your purse, travel and even in your child’s lunch box.

Pumpkin Maple Pecan

As someone who enjoys eating pumpkin in any form all year round, I couldn’t wait to try this flavor. Soft and a bit more dense than the others, Pumpkin Maple Pecan is more like the consistency of a mini muffin with a slight crunch from the Georgia pecans. Oh, and the spices. Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and ginger, this flavor just screams fall. They’re like a warm hug in a wrapper. My favorite way to enjoy the Pumpkin Maple Pecan is with a little salted caramel cream cheese on top. Try it, you won’t be sorry!

Beet Dark Chocolate

I LOVE beets, always have. If someone in your family doesn’t like the earthy flavor of this literally beautiful root vegetable, you need to hide it somewhere, right? Why not chocolate? Please trust me when I tell you that beets and chocolate just go together. Made with 2 full servings of zucchini and beets, these are freaking delicious! So soft and dense, these taste like a mini fudge brownie. You cannot taste a trace of the beet and there are also mini chocolate chips baked into every bite. My hubby who will not touch a beet, let alone eat one, really enjoyed this flavor. Of course I couldn’t wait to tell him after the fact(and two packages later) that he just ate beets. Such a win in my book!

Carrot Cinnamon

So tender and chewy with a hint of spiciness from the cinnamon and natural sweetness from the carrot and pineapple, these taste slightly reminiscent of a healthier version of carrot cake. The only thing missing was frosting! After taking the photo, I couldn’t help but notice just how much shredded carrot Farm and Oven managed to bake into each delicious bite. Definitely one of my favorites!

Try getting your veggies this way and find the joy in healthy!

If your vegetable consumption needs a boost, Farm and Oven is a delicious and sneaky way to help even the pickiest eaters get in those extra veggies! Hands down Beet Dark Chocolate is my favorite, followed by Carrot Cinnamon, Pumpkin Maple Pecan and Zucchini Lemon Poppyseed.

Farm and Oven products are currently available online through the company’s website and also on Amazon. Not sure which flavor to try first, I would recommend their sampler pack.

I’m also part of Farm and Oven’s ambassador program which means I have a discount code I can share with you. By using “WENDY15” at checkout, you can save on your online purchase.

  1. These are adorable little veggie-packed treats! I laughed out loud that you tricked G about the beets 😉 Your order of treat flavors would be mine as well. Thanks for the review! xo

  2. These are almost too cute to eat! I probably eat enough veggies for 10 Americans but that wouldn’t stop me from eating these. I think I’d want to try the Pumpkin Maple Pecan first!
