Friday Food Finds – Abby’s Better Nut Butter Review

Happy Friday friends! As an entrepeneur and small business owner myself, I love supporting local businesses. Through social media, I recently came across Abby’s Better Nut Butter based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

A little bit about the company….

A self-described foodie from Mooresville, North Carolina, Abby Kircher started working on an all-natural nut butter in the summer of 2015 as an alternative to some of the artificial peanut butters on the market. She was only 15 years old at the time!

For her, it all started with some nuts and a food processor. That experimenting led to five nut butter flavors: Date Pecan, Coconut Cashew, Strawberry Cashew, Honey Almond and Coffee Almond. None of Abby’s Better Nut Butter have more than 5 ingredients or contain any artificial sweeteners.

Abby was generous to send me the Date Pecan and Strawberry Cashew to try and review! Let’s get to tasting!

Strawberry Cashew

This one is perfect in it’s simplicity with only a few ingredients. They actually come together in the most magical, flavorful way to create a nut butter unlike any I’d tried before. The freeze dried strawberries do not overpower the flavor of this luscious cashew butter at all. It actually gives it a nice, light, sweet taste. Best described as pure bliss in a jar!

Ingredients: Dry Roasted Cashews, Freeze-Dried Strawberries, Organic Coconut Oil, Vanilla Extract, Himalyan Sea Salt.

Date Pecan

This flavor was was a nostalgic reminder of a freshly baked Pecan Pie on Thanksgiving Day! The flavor is incredible and with such a short ingredient list too! If you love pecans like I do, you must give this a try. It is truly luscious!

Ingredients: Dry Roasted Pecans, Dates, Pink Himalyan Sea Salt.

  1. Ooh, another awesome company! Great reviews, as always; and I love your protein bar recipe. And I love that the company is in Mooresville – perfect for you 😉 Favorite nut nutter combination = White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Butter, of course. HAPPY FRIDAY, DEAR WENDY! xo

    • Hi Liz! Truly an amazing company with an exceptional nut butter product. I knew it was fate when I saw she was from Mooresville.:) White Chocolate Macadamia would be a dream come true for me too! xo

  2. I’ve seen this company on Instagram but had no idea it was from NC! The date pecan sounds amazing and so does that recipe! How does it compare to legendary pecan pie?

    • Hey Megan! Yes, local to both of us! I highly recommend trying them not only to support local business but they have such a clean ingredient list and taste AMAZING! Very different texture from Legendary Foods Pecan Pie. Legendary has more chunks where Abby’s is more of a smoother texture! Definitely give it a try!
