Happy Friday friends! I love desserts but am also devoted to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Earlier this year, Arctic Zero unveiled three new desssert inspired flavors in their chunky pint line up along with a Cake Batter bar. Today, I’m sharing a full review of the new flavors!
First, I have to give it to Arctic Zero for presentation. It’s so exciting when the box arrives beautifully packaged!
Arctic Zero is a frozen dessert (technically not an ice cream, since it isn’t made out of cream) that’s fat-free, lactose-free, gmo-free, certified gluten-free and low in sugar. Made of whey protein concentrate, so it’s high in protein and sweetened with monk fruit concentrate, so it’s much lower in sugar than traditional ice cream. Each pint contains a total of 300 calories, with a half-cup serving containing 75 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, 8 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fiber from chicory root and sugar cane.
Here’s a rundown on Arctic Zero’s newest flavors!
Rocky Road Trip
The first thing that struck me about Rocky Road was the rich dark color of the ice cream. I was surprised at how intense the chocolate flavor was! There are no shortage of mix-ins with this one! Rocky Road Trip is loaded with thick marshmallows and roasted almond bits. This was my second favorite of the 3 flavors!
Peanut Butter Swirl
The Peanut Butter Swirl has a rich vanilla ice cream base with ribbons of peanut butter throughout and a bit of crunch from the white chocolate chips. I love all things white chocolate and was hoping the chips would be more plentiful and a bit larger. If this flavor had a peanut butter ice cream base versus vanilla and larger chunks of white chocolate chips, I think I’d be a bigger fan. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, just not my favorite of the new flavors.
Cherry Chocolate Chunk
And now to my favorite flavor, Cherry Chocolate Chunk. The base is Arctic Zero’s vanilla ice cream with dark chocolaty chunks and cherry pieces. The cherry chocolate combination reminds me of a cherry cordial. If you are a cherry fan, this will definitely be right up your alley.
Cake Batter Bars
Last but certainly not least are the Cake Batter bars! I had heard mixed reviews on the bars so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really loved these! Think vanilla cake surrounded by a rich red velvet coating! The ice cream base reminded me of the Cake Batter flavor from the chunky pints. Sold in four packs, each bar contains 80 calories, 5 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, 5 grams of sugar and 2 grams of fiber. Definitely worth trying!
