Happy Friday friends! Hummus and dessert together? Yes, please! I hope you are ready to be delighted today! I’m SO excited to finally share with you, my review for Delighted By Dessert Hummus.
It all started with my weekly shopping trip to Wegman’s. All of the sudden, out of the corner of my eye I saw these amazing dessert hummus containers. I had never heard of Delighted By or tried a dessert hummus! Curiosity got the best of me and I picked up Brownie Batter and Snickerdoodle. After trying both and immediately falling in love, I knew I had to go back and try the other two flavors- Orange Ginger and Chocolate Chip.

Let’s talk hummus!
Delighted By comes in 4 unique and addictive flavors: Orange Ginger, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip and Brownie Batter! This hummus is sweet like a dessert. Soft and spreadable like frosting. It’s the perfect healthy dessert that is non-GMO, paleo, diet-friendly and free of all allergens (gluten, nuts, dairy and soy). They are the first of its kind, as there is no dessert hummus currently on the market.
I’m a sucker for brownie batter. I’ve definitely made brownies just so that I could lick the spoon! This brownie batter hummus is so ridiculously delectably delicious and nutritious. I served this with some fresh apples and strawberries. Eating the Brownie Batter straight out of the container with a spoon is my favorite way to eat this dip (it feels so indulgent and is strongly encouraged!) This flavor could easily become a part of my weekly grocery haul!
The Chocolate Chip hummus tastes just like cookie dough batter but without any of the guilt! The chocolate chip pairs perfectly with graham crackers, fruit or if your feeling adventurous, in recipes! I made some Chocolate Chip Oat Bites with mine! Super easy recipe that I will be happy to share with you all later! The chocolate chip is definitely one of the top sellers at Wegman’s. This flavor was sold out both times I went to pick a container up!
How about some Delighted by Orange Gingersnap Sandwich Cookies!
I was brainstorming for a creative way to use my orange ginger hummus. It finally came to me, why not make gingersnap cookies! Growing up, my best friend’s Grammy would make us homemade gingersnap cookies all of the time. These cookies brought me straight back to my childhood!
This recipe combines two of my favorite things: Gingersnap cookies and sweet citrus icing(Orange Ginger Hummus). I prefer my gingersnap cookies on the softer side. If you’d like them a bit more crispy, simply press them into a flatter shapes before baking and increase the baking time by about 5-8 minutes. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy cookie recipe!
- 1½ cups almond flour
- 2 TBS coconut oil, softened
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 TBS black strap molasses
- ⅛ tsp orange extract
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp fine sea salt
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- Cookie Filling:
- Orange Ginger Delighted by Dessert Hummus
- Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl, and mix until a thick batter is formed.
- Chill the batter for 30 minutes in the fridge, to make sure it's nice and firm before scooping.
- Preheat the oven to 350F and drop the batter by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Use a wet fork to flatten each dough mound into your desired cookie thickness.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until firm around the edges, but still soft in the center.
- Allow to cool on the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cookies are cooled, place a generous amount of orange ginger hummus on the bottom of half the cookies and top with the other half.
- Store in the refrigerator or eat immediately!
- This recipe can also be doubled or tripled!
One of my favorite cookies is the classic snickerdoodle. Serve this creamy, dreamy sweet hummus with some cinnamon honey graham pretzels, animal crackers and kettle corn mini rice cakes. Or simply spread it on top of toast, waffles, or a bagel! Or just eat it with a spoon because you should!
