Hello and Happy Friday friends! I’m very excited to share with you a new company I came across recently for this week’s Friday Food Finds- Laurel’s Butter.
I found Laurel’s Butter on Face Book and could not help but be very intrigued with her unique assortment of peanut, cashew, pecan, walnut and almond butter flavors. I love the company’s tagline: Laurel’s Butter…”no crap, just nuts.” Creating nut butters for everyone, one better then the next. Sure to make your shoulders dance in pure satisfaction and bliss. Simple, Clean, Delicious. Laurel uses only all natural ingredients and no sugar is added to any of her nut butter blends. Laurel sent me four flavors to try. The nut butter addict in me immediately opened all of the jars to sample each one. I’m very excited to share with you my review on the four unique flavors I tried!
My taste buds literally did a happy dance! Pure bliss! This is almond butter with vanilla whey and cinnamon that tastes just like the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal! Another added bonus, this nut butter boasts 12 grams of protein per serving! Looking for a snack or breakfast idea. This was perfect on my Cinnamon Raisin English muffin for my mid- morning snack. This flavor would also be delicious mixed into some warm oatmeal or on top of some vanilla ice cream! Ingredients: Roasted almonds vanilla whey protein and cinnamon.
Maple Bacon Peanut Butter
A sweet and salty combination of Bacon and Peanut Butter- SOLD!! I made a batch of peanut butter strawberry muffins using Stack’D Original Buttermilk pancake mix. In the center of each muffin, I added a teaspoon of this sweet and savory Maple Bacon Peanut Butter. My next creation using this nut butter will be some Elvis style pancakes- I’m thinking a Peanut Butter, Bacon and Banana stack! Ingredients: Roasted peanuts, bacon, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, sea salt.
My personal favorite and top pick for this week’s Friday Food Finds! This smooth almond butter has a slight peanutty crunch along with oatmeal cookie protein, hand chopped raisins and has 12 grams of protein per serving. Sadly, I did not get a chance to make a recipe with this one since I ate ALL of it straight from the jar. No guilt what so ever- this was the perfect indulgence. I love oatmeal raisin cookies and this flavor was certainly reminiscent of a warm oatmeal cookie that just came out of the oven! I love being able to taste raisins each in bite and this blend had just the perfect amount added. Ingredients: Roasted almonds, roasted peanuts, oatmeal cookie protein, raisins.
White Chocolate Raspberry Pecan Butter
This is a limited edition flavor however I highly recommend Laurel keep this as an ongoing flavor. I’m a fan of anything white chocolate and raspberry. With this unique flavor, I decided to make a batch of Peanut Butter sandwich cookies using a Peanut Butter B-UP bar. For the icing, I mixed a few teaspoons of the White Chocolate Raspberry Pecan Butter with some cream cheese and smeared it generously in between each cookie – what a tasty treat!
Later that day for dinner, I mixed some of the White Chocolate Raspberry Pecan Butter with some fresh mashed raspberries as a topping for my baked spicy salmon. The flavor combination was amazing- spicy yet sweet!Ingredients: Raw Pecans, white chocolate, natural raspberry extract, organic sea salt.
