Friday Food Finds – Munk Pack Protein Cookie Review

Happy Friday friends! It’s been quite some time since I’ve done a protein cookie review. So when Munk Pack offered to send me some of their cookies to sample, I was very excited! I kept seeing posts for their cookies on Instagram and was quite curious. Finally, I had a chance to try them for myself!

Let’s get to tasting!

Coconut White Chocolate Macadamia

You had me at coconut and white chocolate! I had high hopes for this flavor. Upon the first bite, the first flavor I picked up on was peanut butter. Not much of a surprise considering peanut butter is listed as the first ingredient for all four cookie flavors. With each bite, you get bits of coconut flakes, white chocolate and crunchy macadamia nuts. A bit of a let down since the only coconut flavor I could pick up on was from the coconut flakes. Perhaps instead of using peanut butter as the predominant ingredient, substituting it with either a cashew or almond butter base would allow for more of the coconut flavor to shine through.

Nutritional Profile: 360 cals per cookie, 20g fat, 32g carbs, 18g protein, 6g fiber and 18g sugar.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip

Upon opening the wrapper, the smell was slightly reminiscent of opening a fresh jar of peanut butter! This cookie is a peanut butter lover’s dream with the rich flavor of peanut butter infused in each bite. Super soft in texture and loaded with plenty of chocolate chips throughout. Perfect for fueling up post workout or after a long run. I enjoyed mine as a mid-afternoon snack and was full for several hours leading up to dinner.

Double Dark Chocolate

The Double Dark Chocolate tastes so indulgent! This flavor easily lives up to it’s name and reminded me of a soft bakery style brownie. My favorite way to enjoy this was heated in the microwave for 12 seconds so that the dark chocolate chips melt right into the cookie. Definitely a game changer! Each bite is like a little piece of chocolatey heaven! Hands down, this flavorwas my favorite.
