Happy Friday friends! Say goodbye to boring and hello to the irresistibly craveable, melt in your mouth, creamy taste of Muuna Cottage Cheese! Today I’m sharing my full review for this new to me cottage cheese company.
Finally, cottage cheese is as portable, packed with protein and easy to eat as your favorite Greek yogurt!
My friends over at Muuna Cottage Cheese were generous enough to send me this beautiful package containing five different flavors of cottage cheese. Muuna features unique, beautifully bright, single-serve cups available in seven varieties: Strawberry, Blueberry, Pineapple, Peach, Mango and Lowfat Plain.
The fruit-on-the-bottom flavors each have 130 calories, 9-11g sugar, and 15g protein per 5.3oz container. The Muuna’s Lowfat Plain has 120 calories, 4g sugar, and 19g protein per 5.3oz container. None of the cottage cheeses contain high fructose corn syrup or stevia and are free of artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners.
As you can imagine, I gravitated towards the Blueberry first! Just the right amount of fruit and not overly sweet! Tastes like a blueberry cobbler! I am sure some people swirl and mix the fruit right in and some leave the fruit on the bottom to be enjoyed and savored at the end. I swirled mine and added some additional blueberries and some slivered almonds on top. Loved this flavor!
Mango and Pineapple
Creamy protein packed cottage cheese with a tropical twist! Enjoy sweet pineapple or mango mixed right into your cottage cheese for a sweet and healthy snack. Delicious on their own or on top of your favorite crackers with some fresh fruit. I already have some great recipe ideas for both flavors! Thinking either a muffin recipe or breakfast parfait.
Here’s a peek at my sweet and savory afternoon snack! The lowfat plain was perfect topped with some chopped cinnamon apple and a Nibmor cherry chocolate square. The plain flavor would also be awesome on top of an omelet or in place of your sour cream on tacos! The possibilities are endless!
Think peaches and cream! There was no shortage of peach pieces dotted throughout the container. This was very dessert-like! I was instantly blown away by the flavor and even more so, the melt in your mouth creaminess. This was one of my favorite flavors!
Pack more protein into your morning breakfast by adding a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese to your waffle batter! My waffles came out so nice and crispy! Strawberry Muuna and fresh berries also make a delicious waffle topping too!
