In today’s health conscious environment, companies have a responsibility to protect consumers suffering from serious food allergies. It’s no surprise to see food companies making a more conscious effort to clearly label their products and offerings. It’s companies like The Safe + Fair Food Company that recognize that need in the market. Today, I’m teaming up with SAFE + FAIR to share their line of clean label and nut-free products.
About The Safe + Fair Food Company
The Safe + Fair Food Company was founded by friends, Dave Leyrer and Pete Najarian, two fathers of children with food allergies. Their vision was to create a wide corridor of safety and transparency around their own (and other) kids with food allergies through wholesome, delicious foods that are safe and fairly priced. They also call out any top 8 allergens that may have been present in the facility during manufacturing. In order to ensure this, their products are tested at great lengths, are clearly labeled and priced in ways that allows most families to be able to purchase them. Not only does this provide families with these choices but instead, make them real options.
Why Choose SAFE + FAIR?
- Their current selection of products are all peanut and tree nut-free
- All of their products feature non-GMO ingredients
- Contain no artificial colors or flavors, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup or trans fats
Safe + Fair Food Company has the following brands in their portfolio:
Good to Give:
• Vanilla Cake Mix
• Cheddar Mac & Cheese
The Kid’s Stuff:
• Abby’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
• Remy’s Cinnamon Grahams
Here is the rundown on their product line!
Vanilla Cake Mix
With just six ingredients, this is not your ordinary packaged cake mix. Good to Give uses only clean ingredients and more importantly, ones you can recognize and pronounce. The mix is very easy-to-use and great for those days you want to put together a quick, delicious vanilla cake. This baked up into a super moist vanilla cake that tasted just like homemade. I’m sold!
Macaroni & Cheese
Whether you’re buying this for the kids or to satisfy your own hunger for nostalgic comfort food, the Cheddar Mac & Cheese is quite tasty. Made with non-GMO pasta, this mac & cheese has a nice creamy cheddar tang. Similar to traditional boxed mac and cheese, this mix comes with macaroni elbows and powdered cheese. The difference is, Good to Give contains none of the artificial colors, flavors or preservatives like most brands on the market. This is a Mac & Cheese you can feel good about feeding your family.
How about some Mac & Cheese Bites? I made these for Superbowl Sunday!
Or a comforting bowl of creamy Cheddar Mac & Cheese!
Nice and buttery. I thought they’d be really crunchy but surprisingly they were somewhat soft/light with a crunch. Made using whole grain flour, Abby’s Cookies practically melt in your mouth, making it very hard to stop at just one. The small bags are perfect for packing in your child’s lunch box, tossing into your purse, or for traveling when you need a quick and healthy snack. It is a nice little treat when you don’t want to make homemade cookies.
Delicious. Wholesome. Safe, this is a company and brand you can feel good about serving your family.
I love when a company gives back to its community, too. In order to further its mission, The Safe + Fair Food Company will donate 3 percent of all proceeds to the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University to support science, research and care. The company will continue to execute against its vision by creating and acquiring great brands and products that share the core attributes of being SAFE + FAIR, and make it easier and fun for families and communities to snack safe.
