Fun Finds at Trader Joe’s

Does anyone else find grocery shopping as fun and therapeutic as I do? As a die hard foodie and food blogger, the idea of hitting up a grocery store and exploring the aisles is my idea of a good time. Although I do most of my shopping at either Aldi or Publix, Trader Joe’s has always been my favorite place to find unique items and snacks at inexpensive prices. This week, I’m sharing some of the fun finds from my latest trip to foodie paradise – Trader Joe’s!

Fun Finds at Trader Joe's

Here are 8 of my latest finds!

Trader Joe’s Organic Mango Kombucha

Where are my kombucha fans at? Among the new additions to their organic kombucha is this Mango flavor. Although GT’s Mystic Mango has been one of my go-to’s, I decided to give this one a try. In addition to mango, they also offer an Organic Pomegranate Hibiscus  and Organic Green Tea flavor. At $2.69 it’s such a great price.

Miyoko’s Vegan Cream Cheese – Un-Lox Your Dreams

I am a fan of anything by Miyoko’s and anything I can spread on a bagel. Miyoko’s has created the the perfect cream cheese schmear but it’s made with cashews, coconut oil, and nori. I’m super excited to try this on an everything bagel or even mixed into scrambled eggs.

Almond Butter Coconut Greek Low Fat Yogurt

This new one caught my eye and I couldn’t wait to share it with you – Almond Butter Coconut Low Fat Greek Yogurt. Best part is it’s only 99 cents, Trader Joe’s for the WIN! Someone who’s tried it says it has more of a coconut taste than almond butter. I guess I’ll have to try it for myself to be the judge!

Unsweetened Almond, Cashew & Macadamia Milk

Almond, Cashew and Macadamia Nut Milk will make all your non-dairy coffee dreams come true! A touch of sea salt is added to enhance these inherently nutty flavors. It’s also free of dairy, gluten, lactose, and soy. At $2.29 for a quart, it’s priced comparably to other alternative milk products. Since it’s unsweetened it will be perfect in my morning coffee and I’ll be able to use it for soups and sauces too.

Matcha Almond Beverage

This is a new product that came out a few months ago, but it has only been in stock recently at my local TJ’s. I didn’t bother getting the blueberry lavender – just doesn’t sound like something that would appeal to me. But matcha? Why yes! Not too high in calories(60 per cup), and the sugar(7 grams/serving) isn’t bad either. I’ll keep you posted on this one!

Organic Maca Powder

What’s so exciting about this is that the price of maca powder can often run a little high, making it hard for a lot of us to purchase it, even as a special treat. Thankfully, TJ’s is selling an eight-ounce pouch of maca powder for just $4.99, which means I’m foreseeing a lot of superfood-infused smoothies in my future.

Chomps Grass Fed Snack Sticks

I love that I can now find Chomps Snack Sticks in store versus online. At $1.69, I picked up a few of the Grass Fed Turkey flavor. These are awesome for road trips or just tossing into your bag.

Frieda’s Angelcots

Angelcots are a special, limited white-flesh apricot grown in California. They have the juiciness of the ripest nectarine with the delicate texture and aroma of an apricot. Angelcots have the perfect balance of acid and sugar with a buttery, perfume-like sweetness. I plan to grill a few and add them to an arugula and honey goat cheese salad. They’re only available for a short period of time so grab a container while you can.

These are just a few of my favorites. If you enjoy these posts, drop me a comment below! I’m thinking of doing a monthly Trader Joe’s feature!

  1. YES! Love grocery shopping, for sure. Thank you for sharing your fun finds! My main staples at Trader Joe’s are their shredded lite mozzarella, pink himalayan salt, organic basil, and organic oregano. HAPPY FRIDAY!! xx

    • Hi Liz! I also love their lite mozzarella and the almond mozzarella as well. I think you mentioned you also enjoy their nut butters but I cannot recall exactly which one! Happy weekend my friend! ❤️

  2. Loved seeing this selection of new products at Trader Joe’s. Like you Wendy, I love to go shopping there and discovering new products all the time! Have to say that the Matcha Almond Beverage is a definite HIT at our house!!! You totally out scooped me with that Almond Butter Coconut Yogurt. Oh my. Can’t wait to find that and try it. Thank you Wendy for being out in the world and uncovering all kinds of delicious and healthy goodies to our attention! You’re the best.

    • Thank you Vicki! There is nothing more therapeutic than strolling down the aisles of a grocery store for me! I’m glad to hear the matcha is a hit! I can’t wait to open it! And the yogurt is definitely more coconut based in my opinion but still worth trying! I’ll continue to share posts like these since I truly enjoy sharing my new foodie finds!

  3. You know I share your love for grocery shopping!! But lately, I just haven’t had a strong desire to peruse the aisles. I do love TJs-my current staples are kombucha, macadamia nuts, pistachio nutmeats, frozen riced cauliflower, and the uncured black forest bacon. I did hear someone say that the Lox cream cheese is terrible. I sure hope that is not the case for you! I picked up the macadamia milk too but haven’t tried it yet. Be sure to let us know how everything is! I’m curious about the yogurt.

    • Hi Jo! I always appreciate you finding new goodies and sharing them with me via IG!! I need to add the macadamia nuts and bacon to my list for next time. I’ll keep you posted on the cream cheese- I’ve heard mixed reviews myself but thought I’d give it a shot anyway. And the macadamia milk is awesome – I love it!! Such a great value!!
