Tis the season for all things pumpkin. I am so ready for fall weather! GIANT Food Stores is ready too, with their large assortment of all things pumpkin! If you’ve been in your local GIANT Food store(known to some as Stop and Shop) recently, chances are, you’ve spotted these pumpkin-inspired products in various food aisles at the store. Some of these pumpkin items are from their past collection and some are new this year.
Let’s get this pumpkin party started!
Barbara’s Bakery Pumpkin Puffins
Barbara’s Pumpkin Puffins are back! If you’re a pumpkin lover like me, you’ll love these! This cereal is LOADED with pumpkin flavor. Run to the store and hoard a dozen of these now!
Pumpkin Pancake and Waffle Mix
These delicious pancakes capture the classic taste of pumpkin and a hint of spice. They are super easy to make; just add water. I like to customize mine by adding some dried cranberries, walnuts or mini chocolate chips. These would be delicious with some Choc Zero Pumpkin Pie syrup.🎃
Pumpkin Spice Cookie Butter
Ever since Trader Joe’s stopped carrying the Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter, I’ve been on the look out for a replacement. This stuff tastes just like pumpkin pie in a jar. It’s wonderful on a bagel or spread on basically anything. I like to mix mine with cream cheese and powdered sugar and use it as a frosting for my pumpkin cranberry blondie bars.
Pumpkin Pie Spice Butter
Can someone tell me why this isn’t around all year? It is so creamy and doesn’t taste overwhelmingly of pumpkin or spice. Add this to some toast. Use this in your baking. Better yet, find pumpkin pasta and have buttered pumpkin pasta with this butter. I’m loving it!
Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal
I love eating oatmeal for breakfast in the fall, and this really hits the spot. I tried it for the first time last year and fell in love with it. If you like the taste of pumpkin spice you will love this oatmeal. It’s not too strong and it taste great with a little bit of almond or cashew milk.
Pepperidge Farms Pumpkin Spice Swirl Bread
This Pumpkin Spice Swirl Bread is back from Pepperidge Farms. This bread has the perfect thickness and density for an overnight french toast bake. It also makes some pretty darn tasty sweet and savory french toast sandwiches too! I always grab a few loaves so I can enjoy this favorite all fall long.
Traditional hummus gets a major kick of flavor with everyone’s favorite fall fruit in this healthy pumpkin hummus. I especially enjoy the savory spices of cumin combined with the light sweetness of the cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin puree. It’s not overly pumpkiny, but has just enough to give it a faint cinnamon sweet with a little kick from the cumin. This pumpkin hummus is delicious with these cinnamon pita chips.
Silk Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer
Non-dairy coffee creamers have come a long way in the past few years. This one is perfect for pumpkin spice fanatics to keep in the refrigerator to jazz up their standard morning brew.I did find it to be quite sweet, so keep that in mind when adding to your coffee. No additional sugar is needed! At 25 calories per tablespoon, and about $3.99 per bottle, it will cut back on your Starbucks visits and save you both calories and money.
Pumpkin Spice Granola
Sweet, crunchy, nutty granola exploding with fall flavors! It’s easy to eat this granola by the handful. It would also be perfect sprinkled over top your favorite yogurt with fresh fruit.
Pumpkin Sandwich Cookies
Two crunchy pumpkin spice cookies held together by creamy cheesecake frosting presents perhaps our favorite dessert dilemma: How best to eat this cookie? Sweet, spicy and delicious, crumble a handful of these over a bowl of Enlightened Pumpkin Spice Latte ice cram for a pumpkin pie-like sundae.
Look for all of these pumpkin products and more at GIANT Food Stores, and here’s a tip: stock up on your favorites! These are only in stores for a limited time and once they’re gone, you won’t see them again until next year.
