My Top Healthy Travel Essentials

Happy Friday friends and hello summer travel! Whether traveling for just a few days or a week. I like to keep a few essential items with me to maintain my healthy habits during my trip, so I can enjoy my travels! Being that I am heading home to spend time with family this weekend, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite healthy travel essentials. For all of you healthy foodies, I hope you enjoy checking out all of the goodies I packed.

Healthy Travel Essentials

My Top Healthy Travel Essentials…

Silver Fern Ultimate Probiotic

The number one supplement I recommend while traveling is a good probiotic. Traveling usually means being off of your normal routine, eating different foods, and maybe at different times, which often leads to irregularity or uncomfortable digestive issues. I prefer this one from Silver Fern (which is stable at room temperature) making it perfect for travel.

Vermont Village

I’ve not only shared my love for Vermont Village here but also numerous times on my Instagram stories. Vermont Village makes these awesome portable vinegar shot packages which are the BEST for travel. Not only does this make getting my ACV super convenient but they also make great salad dressings too! I always keep a stash in my handy zipper pouch and toss it right into my purse or suitcase. Blueberries & Honey is my favorite!

Vital Proteins Marine Collagen Packets

You should know by now how crazy I am about all things collagen! It’s hard to find space for a tub of collagen powder in your suitcase. Luckily I had these Vital Proteins Marine Collagen packets that my sweet friend Liz  had sent me in a care package a few months ago. The unflavored collagen stick packs are also a must if you like to add collagen to your coffee like I do!

Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee Mix

I packed a few packets of Four Sigmatic’s Mushroom Coffee Mix. They come in small, travel-friendly pouches for you to bring everywhere. Four Sigmatic’s mushroom coffee is instant coffee with chaga mushrooms and cordycep mushrooms. It gives you all of the flavor of coffee without the jitters. If you haven’t heard of the powerful benefits of mushrooms yet, stay tuned for a blog post all about them!

Enlightened Roasted Broad Bean Crisps

Seeing that snacks are a necessity, I will also have an assortment of Enlightened Broad Bean Crisps in my bag. If you haven’t tried broad beans for snacking yet, you’re missing out. Each bag has just 100 calories, contains 7 grams of protein and 3 grams of healthy fiber – plus they are gluten and soy free. With five flavors to choose from; Sea Salt, Cocoa Dusted and Mesquite BBQ are some of my favorites.

Protein Bars

Having an assortment of healthy protein bars is a must for me when I’m traveling. Not only are bars portable and convenient, they don’t require refrigeration or special packing considerations. Some of my personal favorites include Rise Bar, BHU Fit and Truth Bar which contain minimal ingredients, 10-20 grams of protein and a moderate amount of fiber to help sustain you on a travel day or for a health-conscious snack.

FlavaNaturals Blueberry+ Matcha Bar

Chocolate! Because why would you travel without it? Sometimes you just need a chocolate fix and why not reap the benefit of one that contains over 5 times the cocoa flavanols of a typical dark chocolate bar. If you’re looking for a healthier dark chocolate, you cannot go wrong with any of the bars from FlavaNaturals. Since they are relatively small in size(1.3 ounces), they can be enjoyed just about anywhere and make a healthy snack option. The Blueberry + Green Tea Matcha is my favorite of their flavors!

Choc Zero Keto Bark

I can honestly say that I eat a product made from this company every single day. My obsession began with the Choc Zero squares, followed by their sugar free syrups and now the bark. What I love about Choc Zero’s Keto Bark is that it now comes in individual wrapped packages- perfect for my travels! The almond bark is so delish and the pieces are large enough that I feel like I’m getting a healthy dessert while on vacation.

KNOW Better Cookies

I have tried and LOVE all 4 flavors of the Know Better Cookies. These cookies come individually wrapped, contain 18 grams of protein and pack a whopping 12 grams of fiber. The Chocolate Chip is perfect and the Double Chocolate is like a thick fudgy brownie. The packaging makes them so convenient for travel. And because my nephew loves them, I brought along a few extra for him too!

Farm & Oven Bakery Bites

My newest snacking addiction – Farm & Oven Bakery Bites! Each package contains three bite-sized cookies, 40% of a person’s daily veggies and 1 billion live probiotic cultures which helps support a healthy immune and digestive system. A delicious and sneaky way to help get in those extra veggies while you’re on vacation!

  1. You’re all set for your trip and ANY trip now! And I’m so so glad that the collagen singles (sounds like a band name… The Collagen Singles. You know how my mind wanders 🙂 ) work out for you! Yay! My go-to healthy travel essentials that you need to try = the F-Factor bars, when they come back in stock. And GG crackers. HAPPY FRIDAY!!! xo

    • Happy Friday Liz! The collagen singles are so awesome and I’m super grateful to you for sending them my way! They will be put to great use during my trip! And yes to both of your trusted recommendations! I promise to the bars once back in stock and also order the GG crackers! Enjoy your weekend! 🙏🏻🌸🌷

  2. So many things in here I need to try!!!! Especially the collagen! I’m super curious about the mushroom coffee too… I’ve been seeing quite a few people post about it!! I haven’t tried anything from KNOW foods but I need too! I recently saw they have marshmallows !!! Have you tried them!?

Hope you have a great weekend!!! 🙂

    • Hi Monica! I’m a huge fan of collagen. I typically using Further Food but have only bought it in a large tub. I’ll be trying Vital Proteins for the first time this week! As far as KNOW Foods, I LOVE LOVE LOVE their chocolate chip waffles! If I could have tossed some of those in my suitcase I would have. The marshmallows are good but I would highly recommend either the chocolate chip waffles, donuts, and muffins first!
