Top 10 Favorite Recipes From 2017

At the beginning of each new year, I like to share a round up of the Top 10 Favorite Recipes from the previous one. I always love seeing which recipes end up being the top viewed + most loved recipes of the year. Most of your favorites overlap with mine! If you are new to the blog, this will give you a chance to see some of the things you missed and if you have been around, here’s another look at some goodies you might want to pin and make this year.

10.  Vegan Cinnamon Creme Banana Waffles 

These waffles are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfectly sweet, and undetectably vegan and gluten-free. I used YEP it’s Vegan Cinnamon Creme flavored protein powder in this recipe. These waffles are delicious plain, but they’re irresistible with peanut butter, banana, and maple syrup. Are you hungry yet?

9. Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese Meatloaf Muffins

This is not your mama’s meatloaf! Is it me or does adding hot sauce and blue cheese to a recipe always make it better? One of my favorite ways to prepare meatloaf is in muffin tins. The individual servings are perfectly portioned and not to mention, cute and perfect for an on-the-go lunch or dinner.

8.  Party Cake French Toast Bake

Seriously, what could be better than waking up to this delightfully colorful treat! This bake can easily be prepared ahead of time for brunch and used throughout the week for a quick and easy breakfast. Enjoy this sweet treat as is (right out of the oven) or drizzle it with maple syrup or a vanilla glaze. You can easily substitute your favorite bagel since I’m not quite sure Thomas’s will be bringing back the Party Cake bagels this year.

7.  3- Ingredient Avocado Hummus 

Do you love avocado and hummus? I sure hope so! This 3 ingredient Avocado Hummus could not be any simpler! 5 minutes and a food processor or blender, that’s all you need to make some of the best hummus ever. If you’re still buying store bought hummus, stop now! Not only is it cheaper to make your own, but you control the quality of ingredients that go into it. Best of all this one is dairy free, gluten free and oil free!

6. Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Brownie Skillet 

The recipe is single serve, but can easily be doubled and baked in a 12 inch skillet. Have your spoon ready because you will want to dig in and enjoy this while it’s still warm. Enjoy with your favorite ice cream and you’ve got yourself a grain-free brownie ala mode!

4.  Peanut Butter Banana Blondies

These Peanut Butter Banana Blondies are like a cross between a blondie and a cake bar! These bake up in 20 minutes which means you can have a healthy dessert or snack ready to go in no time! Gluten free, soy free and no chickpeas involved!

3. Cherry Cheesecake Chip Froyo

With just a few simple ingredients and a food processor, you’ll have healthy homemade frozen yogurt made in under 10 minutes. This gave my favorite Arctic Zero Cherry Chocolate Chunk a run for it’s money. My version is much creamier and loaded with chunks of cherries and chocolate chips. And best of all, it’s made without an ice cream maker!

2.  Strawberry Almond Thumbprints(Gluten Free)

With only six ingredients, these are one of the easiest cookie recipes you can make during the busy holiday season or pretty much any time of year. Who said cookies can only be enjoyed at Christmas time! Feel free to change it up by adding your favorite flavor jam.

1. Salted Caramel Pumpkin Chip Froyo

For those on the pumpkin bandwagon all year round, it was no surprise that this tasty treat made number one on the list. Pumpkin and salted caramel make such an excellent combination. Add some chocolate chips and it becomes a frozen party of flavors in your mouth! The beauty of this recipe is that it doesn’t require an ice cream maker!

  2. I loved looking back through your top 10 list, so fun! You are a wizard in the kitchen. I know this was from 2016, but I make your Salted Caramel Pumpkin Cauli Oats on the regular. I want to try out those butternut squash tots! And I need to look at that Yep Vegan protein, I kind of forgot about it until I saw your waffle recipe. I love your recipes and product reviews. I’m a fan of ‘a day in the life’ and ‘full day of eats’ posts too! I do love how you share the history of the companies when you review products, so maybe something like a Q&A with company founders as a post from time to time?
