Tuesday Tips: Moso Natural Air Purifying Bag Review

Happy Tuesday friends! In case you’re all wondering why I’m blogging on a new day, it’s because I’m starting a new series called “Tuesday Tips.”  A few times each month, I will be featuring either a quick kitchen tip or non-food related product review.

MOSO NATURAL BAGSThis week I’m sharing my review for Moso Bag. I recently had the opportunity to try one of the Moso Natural Air Purifying bags. I was immediately impressed with the unique design, color options and sizes.

About Moso Natural:

The Moso Natural Air Purifying Bag is the easiest way to maintain a fresh, dry and odor free environment. Without using batteries or wires, the Moso Bag will work continuously to remove odors, allergens and harmful pollutants from the air. In damp, musty environments the Moso Bag will absorb excess moisture to prevent mold, mildew and bacteria from forming.

The information says to place a Moso Bag anywhere odors, bacteria, harmful pollutants, allergens, mold, mildew or moisture may accumulate including closets, bathrooms, kitchens, pet areas, and cars. I opted to use mine in my refrigerator. I have always traditionally went with using baking soda. It does work but I have to remember to replace it every month for it to continue to be effective.  The 75g Moso Bag for the refrigerator is the best replacement for baking soda!  Another plus , it does not need to be replaced for up to two years.

The Moso Bag is a natural alternative to standard air fresheners, many of which contain toxic and/or carcinogenic chemicals such as formaldehyde, petrochemicals and p-dichlorobenzene. The bags are safe around food, pets and children.

  • The Moso Natural Bags are filled with non toxic, chemical free and fragrance free Moso bamboo charcoal.
  • Removes odors, allergens and harmful pollutants from the air.
  • Absorbs excess moisture to prevent mold, mildew and bacteria from forming.
  • Reusable up to two years.  Simply place the Moso Bag outside and the UV rays from the sun will clear out the pores of the bamboo charcoal.

The Moso Bag comes in four sizes and three natural colors. The 200g MOSO Bag is great for smaller areas (approximately 90 square feet) or the 500g MOSO Bag  for larger living areas (approximately 250 square feet. They also have smaller versions such as the 75g MOSO Bag for the refrigerator or the Mini Moso Bag 50g.

After the charcoal is exhausted as an air purifier, the bamboo charcoal makes a wonderful addition to your garden, where it promotes plant growth due to its mineral-rich nature and ability to retain moisture. Simply cut the Moso Bag open and sprinkle the bamboo charcaol into a potted plant or soil. This completes the Moso Bag’s life cycle as a product that comes from the earth and ultimately gives back to the earth.

I’ve been using mine for about 3 weeks now and overall very happy with the product. It begins working immediately after you open the bag. Since, it doesn’t give off a scent like an air freshener, it can be difficult to know if it’s working right away. In just a few days, you will notice major improvements. Within a week, odors will be completely neutralized.
