I’ve been a little granola obsessed lately. I simply can’t get enough of it! If I don’t have a bag in the pantry, I feel sort of lost. As you know, I love to share all sorts of new and healthy food finds with you! This week is not any different. Have you heard of Whirlybird Granola? Me either until our paths crossed recently through the power of social media.The company was generous enough to send a few bags my way to try and review.
Who is Whirlybird Granola?
Whirlybird Granola, a Cincannati Ohio based company, was founded by Christy White. She started the business right in her own kitchen out of a love of granola and a passion for health. Since she could not find any granolas that did not have added fillers, artificial flavors, or a low sugar content, she set out on a mission to make her own.
The company is dedicated to using only the highest quality ingredients which means no artificial ingredients, high fructose corn syrup, or additives. Every batch is sweetened with Ohio pure maple syrup and organic agave nectar. All of their granola is made by hand in small batches to ensure that homemade taste.
The granola comes in 3 delicious flavors; Chocolate, Original and Vanilla Berry. All of their granola is certified gluten-free, Non-GMO Project Verified, and Vegan.

Every batch of Whirlybird Granola is made with love. This business is and has always been based on family. My family has selflessly been in the kitchen with me baking this and helping me grow from the start.
I have two twin boys that were born in 2011, the same year that I started my business. They truly served as my inspiration and the reason that I work so hard. I have another little girl that was born in 2013, and together these little birds make up my heart.

Original combines pistachios, sunflower and pumpkin seeds and accompanies it with a cozy maple flavor, warm cinnamon spice and dried cranberries. It’s perfect for topping yogurt, smoothie bowls, and even muffins. I love using granola as a topping in muffin recipes. This added such a fancy crunch to my Cranberry Granola Muffins. Whirlybird should kindly rename this one to Chocolate Chip and for so many good reasons. Such a chocolatey delight! I didn’t realize this granola would be chockfull of so many mini chocolate chips. This almond and oats based granola was delicious and the flavors worked together really well. The cocoa and chocolate chips are just enough to give you a sweet taste. This is the perfect dessert granola either on ice cream or even on top of pancakes. Also, eating it by the handful is highly encouraged!
Crunchy sweet and flavorful, this flavor is a blend of almonds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and plump dried blueberries. Aromatic vanilla, pure maple, almond, and cinnamon merge together bite after bite. Granola is not just for breakfast anymore. It’s also an excellent snack to be enjoyed anytime of day. The Vanilla Berry found quite a happy home on my dairy-free blueberry yogurt with fresh fruit. So delicious!
I would recommend Whirlybird to anyone looking for a delicious granola to add to their diet. It is filled with real ingredients, certified gluten free, low in sugar and has an amazing flavor and texture! If I had to choose a favorite I would probably say the Chocolate, but that’s just because I’m such a chocoholic!
