Friday Food Finds – WholeMe Grain Free Clusters Review

Happy Friday friends! I’m back with a brand new healthy snack Food Find and this one comes from the granola category. Introducing WholeMe Grain Free Clusters. I recently came across this new to me brand of grain-free granola style clusters at Whole Foods and let me tell you, I’m now hooked!

About WholeMe

Founded in 2013, WholeMe is the partnership of Krista Steinbach and Mary Kosir – two women on a mission to change not only how we snack, but also how we live. WholeMe was born out of the need for a grain-free, whole-food alternative to all of the sugar laden based snacks on the market. WholeMe saw the need for something other than traditional, grain-heavy granolas. After testing and tasting recipes, they’ve created something truly delicious: nutrient-dense nut clusters, flavored using only real food ingredients.

WholeMe Clusters come in four delicious flavors; Almond Coconut, Lemon Berry Chia, Salted Peanut Chocolate and Cinnamon Banana Chip. Their products are grain free, gluten free, soy free, Non-GMO project verified, paleo friendly and free from preservatives. WholeMe also prides themselves in using only ingredients you can recognize and pronounce like coconut, almonds, chia seeds, honey, maple syrup and cacao nibs.

Here are just a few fun ways to enjoy WholeMe:

  • Crumble and pour into a bowl with cashew, almond, or coconut milk.
  • Use as a topping for yogurt or a smoothie bowl.
  • As a healthy dessert topping on ice cream.
  • Eat them by the handful or straight from the bag.

Let’s get to tasting!

Lemon Berry Chia

The Lemon Berry Chia reminds me of a breakfast favorite – the lemon poppyseed muffin. It’s packed with coconut, cashews, chia, almonds, sunflower seeds and lemon zest. The clusters are soft and chewy almost like a soft cookie. The bright yellow flecks give a fresh citrus flavor that pairs beautifully with the sweetness from the dried cherries and blueberries. This was fantastic right out of the bag as a snack. I’m sure crumbled over yogurt or in your favorite nut milk with some fruit would be delicious, too. If you are a lemon fan, I highly recommend trying this flavor.

Ingredients: Coconut, Cashews, Honey, Dried Cherries, Dried Blueberries, Sunflower Seeds, Almonds, Coconut Oil, Chia Seeds, Vanilla Extract, Salt, Lemon Oil, Lemon Zest.

Salted Peanut Chocolate

Salted Peanut Chocolate..I’ll repeat…SALTED. PEANUT. CHOCOLATE. Yes, that’s correct! Who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate together?  Salted Peanut Chocolate takes the classic combination of peanut butter and chocolate to a whole new level with the addition of coconut and sunflower seeds. It’s out of this world delicious! Can you say Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup! As a lover of peanut butter, you bet I was thrilled about this flavor.

Ingredients: Coconut, Honey, Peanut Butter, Sunflower Seeds, Peanuts, Coconut Oil, Chocolate Chips, Defatted Peanut Flour, Sea Salt.

Almond Coconut

Open your bag and look out, these cluster chunks are so addictive… in a healthy, delicious, fabulous way! The Almond Coconut has the perfect balance of sweet and salty from the delicious blend of almonds, coconut, pumpkin seeds and a hint of sea salt. Being a coconut lover, I was in heaven either snacking straight out of the bag or crumbling them on my Elli Quark coconut yogurt.

Ingredients: Almonds, Unsweetened Coconut, Honey, Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Coconut Oil, Almond Extract, and Salt.WHOLEME, ALMOND COCONUT CLUSTERS

Cinnamon Banana Chip

Just like your grandma’s banana bread, this flavor offers the perfect balance of cinnamon, banana, maple, pecans and almonds. I wasn’t expecting to see real banana chips scattered throughout the blend. I LOVE banana chips. So, this made me happy! The bits of cacao nibs add just enough sweetness to keep the flavor interesting. Take this along on a hike or use it to fuel post-workout, but be warned that you’ll probably have to share.

Ingredients: Banana Chips, Honey, Pecans, Coconut, Almonds, Dried Bananas, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Seeds, Maple Syrup, Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, Salt, Maca.

Whether you’re looking to find a snack to meet your dietary restrictions, or a new treat to tantalize your taste buds, I would highly recommend trying WholeMe. Hands down my top two flavors were the Salted Peanut Chocolate and Almond Coconut. Grab a bag (or all four!) today and find a new snack favorite!

  1. I really respect the partnership behind this brand – so great! While I personally won’t be trying any of these, with actual coconut pieces being a major texture element/ingredient, the Salted Peanut Chocolate and Lemon Berry Chia sound particularly delicious otherwise. Enjoy them! Happy Friday xx

    • Hi Liz! Such an amazing brand! All four flavors are absolutely delicious but yes, very coconutty in texture. I’ve been enjoying them on the regular and plan to stock up again on my next shopping trip! Thank you as always for reading! xo

    • Hi Mary! Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out! I was in love at first bite- especially with the Almond Coconut! So happy I found your company and WholeMe!
